7 programs to undergo accreditation

AT least seven programs of the University of the Visayas (UV) will undergo hybrid accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities-Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) from February 16-17, 2024.

The PACUCOA accreditation team is chaired by Dr. Rosita Navarro while the UV accreditation team is headed by University President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo, Jr.

Two programs will undergo for Level IV Reaccredication Status, namely: Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Secondary Education.

The Doctor of Healthcare Management program will be accredited for Preliminary Visit.

Meanwhile, four programs are for Orientation visit, namely: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education major in Research Management and Development, PhD in Education major in English Language Teaching, and PhD in Public Administration and Governance, and Bachelor of Physical Education.

In his welcome message, Dr. Iñigo remarked that the strategic plan of the University is aligned with the PACUCOA accreditation requirements.

He also emphasized the importance of technology in education particularly micro-credentialing certification and Artificial Intelligence.

The university president also shared to the accrediting teams the achievements of the University over the years such as the ISO certification, international linkages, international certifications, institutional awards, learning management systems, to name a few.
