March 16, 2023, marked a significant milestone for the CAHS - Department of Nursing as it forged a groundbreaking partnership with KILSA Global Philippines, unveiling the International Nurses Onboarding Program (INOP). INOP isn't just a scholarship program; it's a gateway to global opportunities. Selected student nurses, numbering twenty, secured their spots in this prestigious initiative, offering them a pathway to professional growth and international experience in Singapore upon successful completion of the Nurses Licensure Examination.

Recognition and acclaim continued to pour in for the Department of Nursing during the University of the Visayas 2nd Quality Awards Day 2023. Honored as one of the colleges surpassing the national passing rate for first-time licensure examination takers, the department also celebrated its PACUCOA LEVEL IV Accredited Status, a testament to its unwavering commitment to excellence in education.

Adding another feather to its cap, the Graduate School of Allied Health Sciences (GSAHS) received a resounding vote of confidence from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation, Incorporated (PACUCOA, INC). Both the Master’s in Nursing and Master’s in Public Health programs earned the prestigious LEVEL I FORMAL ACCREDITED STATUS for the period spanning January 2023 to January 2026. Additionally, the Doctor of Health Care Management program was granted CANDIDATE STATUS, signaling a promising trajectory towards full accreditation.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program has been granted Level IV Accredited Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation, Incorporated (PACUCOA, INC), for satisfactorily meeting all standards and fulfilling requirements from June 2022 to February 2025. Notably, the BSN program received recognition from PACUCOA as the first program to achieve Level IV accreditation in Region VII.

Additionally, PACUCOA conferred a special citation to the University of the Visayas as the institution with the first nursing program in Region VII to receive Level III reaccredited status on December 1, 2017.

Furthermore, the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy program has been awarded Level I Formal Accredited Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation Incorporated (PACUCOA, INC.), for the period spanning April 2022 to April 2025. Similarly, the BS Pharmacy program received a Certificate of Compliance from the “An internationally recognized private non-sectarian university committed to academic excellence, transformational, and innovative education.” Corner D. Jakosalem, Colon St . , Cebu Ci ty 6000• uv.edu.ph Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on March 18, 2022, for satisfactorily meeting their standards.

Established in the academic year 2020-2021, CAHS emerged as a pioneering institution, seamlessly integrating programs in Dentistry, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Rooted in an innovative approach to education, CAHS offers sought-after undergraduate degree programs including the Doctor of Dental Medicine (Dentistry), Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
