105th Founding Anniversary & 136th Birth Anniversary of Founder, Don Vicente Gullas

ANNIVERSARY: EARLIER today, January 12, the University of the Visayas (UV) celebrated its 105th Founding Anniversary and the 136th Birth Anniversary of its esteemed Founder, Don Vicente Gullas. The commemoration took place at the Lobby of the UV Main Campus.
The day began with a solemn Holy Mass, uniting the university community in gratitude to the Almighty for the continuous sustenance and blessings bestowed upon the institution throughout its storied history.
Following the Mass, the inauguration of the new lobby, burrying of a time capsule, and the traditional Wreath Laying ceremony commenced, symbolizing a collective tribute to the visionary leader, Don Vicente Gullas. The ceremony drew the participation of students, faculty members, administrative staff, Executive Officers, members of the Board of Trustees, and honored Gullas family members, all joining together to witness and partake in the event.
The Wreath Laying ceremony, a tradition honoring the founder, symbolized unity and commitment within the UV community. It served as a collective acknowledgment of the institution's past and a shared vision for the future.
