UV Dentistry Students Mark Milestone With White Coat Ceremony

Fifty students donned their white coats, symbolizing their readiness to provide clinical care and uphold UV’s core values in their journey toward becoming dentists.
The University of the Visayas (UV) College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), Department of Dental Medicine, held its 3rd White Coat Ceremony on Sunday, August 31, celebrating a significant academic milestone for its fifth-year dentistry students.
CAHS Dean Dr. Yvonne Sevilla expressed pride in seeing the students reach this stage, stating, “I felt fulfilled that we were able to help students realize their dreams, and proud to see them make it this far despite the challenges they faced.” She also urged them to maintain excellence and compassion in both their studies and future professional practice.
The ceremony was attended by UV President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr., Vice President for Finance and Quality Management System Dr. Rosemarie Cruz-Español, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Lou C. Cabuenas, and Philippine Dental Association Cebu Chapter President Dr. Thelma Pedida, who served as guest of honor. Faculty members, classmates, and families joined in celebrating the students’ achievement.
