THE University of the Visayas celebrated its Students' Day 2024, spearheaded by the Supreme Student Council today, March 8, 2024, at the UV-Main Campus Gymnasium.

The event kicked off with the opening remarks delivered by the Supreme Students Council (SSC) President Mr. John Michael Olmillo.

For her part, SASC Director Dr. Anna Kathrina O. Watin led a thought-provoking discussion on love, courtship and marriage, encouraging students to reflect on the importance of healthy relationships and mutual respect.

Moreover, the UV Choir performed during the event, followed by the UV Filipiniana Dance Group (FDG).

The spotlight turned to the relaunching of the organization in every department, symbolizing a renewed commitment to student leadership and representation.

Subsequently, the UV Unplugged Club took center stage, delivering an electrifying performance that captivated students to engage in the joyful celebration.

In addition, students from each department held a variety of captivating booths for students.

Students' Day is not just a celebration, but a reaffirmation of the bonds that unite students in their journey of learning and growth.

Present were the students from various participating departments namely: College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Business Administration (CBA), College of Education (COED), College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), College of Maritime Education (COME), and the College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture (CETA).
