UV-SASC, SSC conduct Women’s Empowerment Seminar

THE University of the Visayas Students Affairs and Services Center (SASC) together with the Supreme Students Council (SSC) conducted a Women’s Empowerment Seminar with the theme: “RISING STRONG: Harnessing Resilience for Women’s Empowerment and Leadership” on March 1, 2024 at the UV-Main Campus Gymnasium.
The said lecture was initiated as a head-start in welcoming the Women’s Month celebration along with the series of seminars to be done simultaneously for the whole month of March.
In addition, the Speaker was the SASC Director Dr. Anna Kathrina O. Watin.
Present during the event were the Vice-President (VP) for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Lou Cabuenas, VP for Administration Mr. Elmer Ocaba, HR Learning and Development Director Mr. Mark Anthony L. Ruiz, Student Development Coordinator Ms. Katrina Siena Reyes, Prefect of Discipline Mr. Isiah Opeña , along with the Guidance Associates.
On the other hand, the attendees of the seminar were the students from various colleges and departments namely: College of Education (COED), College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), College of Maritime Education (COME), and the College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture (CETA).
