UV, Pari-an Fire Station Conduct Fire Safety Lecture and Drill

The University of the Visayas (UV), in partnership with the Pari-an Fire Station, conducted a fire safety lecture and drill to enhance the emergency preparedness and fire response skills of students and staff across the university.
The University of the Visayas (UV), in collaboration with the Pari-an Fire Station, conducted a fire safety lecture and drill at the university grounds to promote awareness and preparedness among students and staff.
Fire officers Ralph Lynde Tabura, John Recar Estolonio, and Jerwin Almedilla led the session, sharing their expertise on proper fire response procedures. They provided valuable insights on what to do during a fire emergency and demonstrated the correct use of fire extinguishers.
Participants were also given hands-on experience through a guided tutorial on operating fire extinguishers, ensuring that everyone could apply the techniques safely and effectively.
The activity was organized by UV’s Safety and Security Department as part of its continuous efforts to strengthen the university community’s emergency preparedness. It emphasized the importance of readiness, quick response, and safety awareness in mitigating fire-related incidents.
Through initiatives like this, UV reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe and secure learning environment for all Visayanians.
