Welcome to the University of the Visayas Dalaguete Campus!
Our History
The University of the Visayas Dalaguete Campus has become a significant pillar of education in southern Cebu since its establishment in 2007. Starting with 295 students enrolled across multiple programs, including BEED, BSHRM, BSBA, BSIT, BSCRIM, BSMT, AB, MAED, and BSN, the campus has seen remarkable growth and transformation over the years. This trajectory has been a testament to UV’s commitment to bringing quality education closer to communities in need.
In its early years, the campus steadily grew in popularity, drawing students not only from Dalaguete but also from neighboring towns like Argao, Alcoy, Boljoon, and Oslob. Today, UV Dalaguete offers a range of programs, with major offerings such as Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Development Management, Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Criminology.
In 2016, the campus expanded further with the introduction of the Senior High School program under the leadership of Dr. Priscila S. Mansueto. UV Dalaguete opened tracks in STEM, ABM, HUMSS under the academic track, and Home Economics (HE) and Information Communication Technology (ICT) under the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood track. The campus’s no-tuition fee policy for Senior High School students attracted more learners, with the first batch of over 200 graduates in 2018.
Notably, UV Dalaguete has also earned a reputation for producing outstanding Education graduates, including its first Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) topnotcher, Ms. Rhea Mae Ongkit, in 2018. Since then, the campus has consistently performed above the national passing average for first-time LET takers.
By 2020, the campus achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 2,000 enrollees for the first time in its 13 years of operation. Currently, in 2024, enrollment continues to thrive with 474 students in the BEED program, 352 in BSBA HRM, 238 in BSCRIM, 24 in BSED Math, and 443 in BSHM.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate Programs
To apply as a new undergraduate student, please submit the following requirements:
- Form 138 (High School or Senior High Report Card)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character (from last school attended)
- NCAE Result (optional)
- PSA Birth Certificate (photocopy)
- 2 pcs 2x2 ID Pictures (white background with name tag)
- Admission Fee: Php500
- Entrance Exam Fee: Php250
Transferees are students who have previously enrolled in a college or technical course at another higher education institution and now wish to pursue a program at the University of the Visayas. All transferees must submit the following documents upon enrollment:
- Transcript of Records (TOR) from the last school attended
- Certificate of Transfer Credentials / Honorable Dismissal
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- PSA Birth Certificate (photocopy)
- 2 pcs 2x2 ID Pictures (white background with name tag)
- Admission Fee: Php500
For applicants with an existing undergraduate degree seeking enrollment in a new program, the following documents are required:
- Completely filled-out Application Form
- 4 pcs 2x2 ID Pictures (white background with name tag)
- Certificate of Honorable Dismissal (from last school attended)
- Transcript of Records (TOR)
- PSA Authenticated Birth Certificate (original and photocopy)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character (original)
Basic Education
To apply for Senior High School, applicants should provide the following:
- Completely filled-out Application Form
- Form 138/ Report Card (original)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character (original)
- PSA Authenticated Birth Certificate (original and photocopy)
- 4 pcs 2x2 ID Pictures (white background with name tag)
