UV Nursing Holds 56th Capping, Badge Investiture, and Candle Lighting Ceremony

A total of 377 nursing students from Batch Lumina, Class of 2029, took a step forward in their training as the University of the Visayas (UV) Department of Nursing held its 56th Capping, Badge Investiture, and Candle Lighting Ceremony on October 15, 2026, at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
Organized by the department under the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), the ceremony marked the students’ move to the next stage of their nursing education.
The rites of capping, badge investiture, and candle lighting symbolized the students’ transition to greater responsibility in the nursing profession.
