Twenty-three dental students from the University of the Visayas (UV) represented the Philippines at DenTech China 2026, held October 22 to 25 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. UV was the only Philippine dental school invited by the event organizer, Shanghai Informa Markets ShowStar Exhibition Company Limited.
The delegation came from the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DDM) Department under the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS). DDM Program Coordinator Dr. Lorelie Dolores Omega and Chief of Clinics Dr. Rolex Lilio Omega led the university’s participation.
Now in its 29th edition, DenTech China is an international exhibition of dental equipment, technology, and products. It brings together dental professionals, manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, and distributors to showcase advances in the field and build global industry partnerships.
The four-day event featured developments in dental instruments, materials, implants, orthodontic products, and digital dentistry technologies. Participants also joined educational conferences, hands-on workshops, and professional training sessions alongside international trade partners and dental professionals from around the world.
