UV, Moirasia Foundation Launch Youth Scholarship Partnership

The University of the Visayas (UV) and Moirasia Foundation, Inc. formalized a partnership that expands access to higher education through a scholarship program designed to support deserving but financially challenged students.
The University of the Visayas and Moirasia Foundation, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 8, 2026, at the UV-HRM Restaurant, establishing the Moirasia Youth Excellence Scholarship (YES) Program. The initiative aims to provide financial assistance to qualified students, enabling them to pursue quality education and achieve their academic aspirations.
During the ceremony, UV Vice President for Finance and QMS and College of Business Administration Dean Dr. Rosemarie Cruz-Español said the partnership reflects the shared belief of both institutions that education has the power to transform lives and uplift communities.
Meanwhile, Paolo Romano Garcia, Trustee and Corporate Secretary of Moirasia Foundation, Inc., described the agreement as more than a ceremonial signing, emphasizing that it represents a commitment to support talented and determined students by creating opportunities for their success.
The scholarship partnership strengthens collaboration between the University and the foundation in promoting educational access and student development. Through the Youth Excellence Scholarship Program, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to investing in the potential of deserving learners and helping them build brighter futures.
