The University of the Visayas (UV), through the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), convened General Education (GE) faculty members from its main and satellite campuses during the GE Summit 2026, a one-day academic gathering focused on strengthening collaboration and advancing teaching excellence across the University.
The summit brought together General Education educators to discuss initiatives aimed at enhancing the delivery of the GE curriculum and reinforcing the role of General Education in achieving the University's academic goals.
Participants engaged in collaborative planning, professional development activities, and discussions on strategies to improve curriculum implementation and instructional practices. The gathering also provided an opportunity for faculty members from different campuses to exchange ideas and share best practices in addressing the evolving needs of higher education.
University officials said the summit reaffirmed the institution's commitment to fostering academic collaboration and equipping educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare students for the demands of a rapidly changing society.
The activity forms part of the University's continuing efforts to strengthen the quality of General Education instruction and promote collaboration among faculty members across its campuses.
