UV Conducts FBSE Training for Future Tourism Professionals

The University of the Visayas (UV) College of Business Administration, through its Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) Program, successfully conducted the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training spearheaded by the Department of Tourism on May 26, 2026, at the Events & Function Hall.
The activity aimed to prepare third-year Tourism students for their upcoming practicum next semester by strengthening their professionalism, service excellence, and genuine Filipino hospitality—qualities essential in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Joshua S. Gequillo Jr., BSTM Program Coordinator, expressed his pride in the students’ active participation and emphasized the importance of professionalism and service excellence among future tourism professionals.
“As future tourism and hospitality professionals, may our students continue to embody excellence, professionalism, and the genuine warmth of Filipino hospitality wherever they may go.”
The organizers also extended their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rosemarie Cruz-Español for her unwavering support, as well as to FBSE Trainer Dr. Evelyn Flores Lupango and Ms. Marichu Eyac-Libor from the Department of Tourism for sharing their expertise and inspiring the future generation of tourism professionals.
The successful event was actively supported by the BSTM Faculty, MICE students, and LTSP Officers, showcasing the collaborative spirit and commitment of the UV community toward quality tourism education.
