UV-CBA Business Week Kicks Off With Innovation, Unity

The University of the Visayas (UV) came alive with energy and excitement as the College of Business Administration (CBA) officially launched its much-anticipated Business Week, drawing students, faculty, and industry partners into a dynamic celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation.
The week-long event, held from April 13 to April 17, opened with a festive parade, followed by the Banner Competition and Cheer Chant at the UV Gymnasium, setting the tone for a series of engaging and competitive activities.
Throughout the week, participants are set to engage in a lineup of events including the Academic Decathlon, Amazing Race, Tourism Product Development Workshop, and Market Fair. These activities aim to enhance students’ strategic thinking, teamwork, and creativity while offering practical exposure to real-world business scenarios.
University President Dr. Conrado Iñigo Jr. graced the opening ceremony, alongside Vice President for QMS and Finance and concurrent CBA Dean Dr. Rosemarie Cruz Español, and College of Maritime Education Dean Dr. Robert Maluya. Also present were Dr. Cresencio Mejarito, Dr. Ma. Crispy Velasco, and Ms. Sarie Laspinas, who served as judges for the Banner Competition and Cheer Chant contest.
With a vibrant mix of academic and experiential learning activities, UV-CBA Business Week continues to empower students to innovate, collaborate, and excel in the evolving business landscape.
