UV Intramurals 2026 Showcases Talent, Unity, And Competitive Spirit

A vibrant display of cheers, colors, and electrifying performances filled the University of the Visayas as Intramurals 2026 brought together students in a dynamic celebration of sports, culture, and creativity.
Held from March 25 to March 28, 2026, the four-day event gathered participants from various colleges under the theme “Transformation through Innovation and Excellence,” highlighting student talent, teamwork, and school pride through a wide range of competitions.
One of the highlights was the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2026 competition, where Gabriel Cabalhin of the College of Maritime Education and Leslie Jane Montecino of the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) clinched the top titles, besting contenders from eight colleges.
The event also featured the Hip Hop Dance Competition, with CAHS emerging as champion, followed by the College of Education (COED) as first runner-up and the College of Business Administration (CBA) as second runner-up, showcasing creativity and powerful stage performances.
Meanwhile, sports events such as volleyball intensified the competitive atmosphere, with teams demonstrating skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the matches.
In the creative category, Sunday Mae Migullas of the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) secured first place in the Poster Making Contest for her entry that best reflected the event’s theme.
More than a competition, UV Intramurals 2026 reinforced unity, sportsmanship, and camaraderie, serving as a platform for holistic student development and celebrating the enduring spirit of the UV community.
