UV Partners with COMELEC for On-Campus Voter Registration Drive

Students and staff lined up at the University of the Visayas gallery lobby as the campus launched a voter registration initiative in partnership with the Commission on Elections.
The University of the Visayas (UV), in collaboration with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), is conducting a Satellite Voter Registration Activity from March 9 to March 12, 2026, at the university gallery lobby, offering registration services to students and employees ahead of the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
The satellite booth allows qualified participants to register as new voters, transfer registration, or correct name entries. Daily sessions run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and are open to all university personnel and students.
Applicants must present a valid government-issued ID with photo and signature. To qualify for the elections, individuals must be at least 15 years old by November 2, 2026, and have resided in Cebu City’s 1st District for at least six months.
This initiative reflects UV’s commitment to civic engagement and ensuring that students and employees are prepared to participate in democratic processes.
