UV's Top TOEIC Examinees achieve C1 Proficiency Level

Congratulations to the top student examinees of the Test of English for International Communication(TOEIC) Exams who achieved the highest Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) English language proficiency level of C1 for the Second Semester at the University of the Visayas (UV)-Main Campus.
The TOEIC program is the global standard for assessing English-language communication skills needed for everyday use.
Managed by the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the university-wide test was conducted last April 22-23, 2024 by Hopkins International Partners, Incorporated. It included students from Effective Communication and Arts and Humanities courses.
This semester saw a remarkable 100 percent increase in C1 achievers, with 40 students reaching this level compared to 18 in the First Semester.
Among them is Eljen Nina Pasay, the 10th placer. She is a staff writer of The Visayanian, the school's official publication.
UV stands out as the first and only school in Cebu to administer the TOEIC exam to its students, a project initiated by University President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo, Jr. with support from the UV Executive Board and senior leaders.
