UV Joins 41st International Coastal Cleanup

Student volunteers from the University of the Visayas (UV) participated in the 41st International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) 2026 on September 19, joining a nationwide and global effort to protect marine ecosystems and reduce coastal pollution.
Representatives from the Supreme Student Council, Visayanian Association of Psychology Majors, UV Biological Society, IIEE–UV Chapter, and Gullas Law School took part in the activity organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR–PENRO) Cebu.
The cleanup highlighted the role of collective action in maintaining clean coastal environments and promoting environmental responsibility among students and communities.
Through the participation of its student organizations, UV supports collaborative efforts to protect marine resources and advance environmental sustainability.
