Hospitality Management students from the University of the Visayas – College of Business Administration (UV-CBA), in collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region VII, conducted a two-day Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Seminar-Workshop on June 18–19 at the HM Function Hall.
The activity brought together fourth-year Hospitality Management students for two days of learning, engagement, and professional preparation as they move closer to completing their academic journey and entering the hospitality industry.
The seminar was spearheaded by HM Program Coordinator Jeovane Digal, together with HM Faculty and Student Services Coordinator Mr. Dan Villasencio and the rest of the Hospitality Management team, with the support of UV-CBA Dean Dr. Rosemarie Cruz-Español. The initiative served as a valuable platform for students to interact with industry-oriented programs and gain a deeper understanding of service excellence standards expected in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
Throughout the seminar-workshop, participants engaged in discussions and activities designed to enhance their practical knowledge, strengthen professional competencies, and encourage collaboration among peers. The sessions focused on developing skills and attitudes aligned with the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence program, which promotes quality service and customer-centered hospitality practices.
By partnering with DOT Region VII, the College of Business Administration continues to provide opportunities that bridge academic learning with industry standards, equipping future hospitality professionals with the knowledge, values, and competencies needed to thrive in a competitive and service-driven environment.
Padayon, Visayanians!
