The University of the Visayas (UV), through its International Affairs Department, welcomed representatives from Taiwan and partner institutions for a strategic meeting aimed at expanding employment, internship, scholarship, and international mobility opportunities for students and graduates.
The meeting gathered representatives from the Taiwan-based Cross-Border Workforce Recruitment Center under the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines, the Taiwan Association in Cebu, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), the Department of Education–Toledo City, and Cebu Institute of Technology–University (CIT-U), including its Department of Hospitality and Tourism and the International Mobilization and Affairs Office under NEXUSS.
Held to strengthen international partnerships and student development initiatives, the discussions centered on creating academic pathways, internship placements, workforce mobility programs, and scholarship opportunities in Taiwan. Participants explored collaborative efforts that would enable students and graduates to gain global exposure and enhance their professional competencies in an increasingly interconnected workforce.
University officials and partner representatives reaffirmed their commitment to fostering international cooperation and opening doors for learners to access quality education, meaningful employment opportunities, and cross-border experiences that support career growth and lifelong learning.
The initiative reflects UV’s continuing efforts to build global linkages and provide Visayanians with pathways toward international education and employment opportunities, preparing them to thrive in a competitive global environment.
Padayon, Visayanians!
