UV Career Day Highlights Opportunities In Tech And Engineering

The University of the Visayas – Career Placement Services and Alumni Relations (CPSAR) Office successfully conducted Career Day 2026 on April 21, gathering students and industry professionals to explore career opportunities in information technology and engineering.
Held in partnership with the College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture (CETA), the event carried the theme “Unlocking IT and Engineering Career Opportunities,” highlighting the growing demand and evolving landscape of the technology and engineering sectors.
The morning session took place at the Doña Andrea Multimedia Room, while afternoon activities continued at the Inday Teresing Auditorium, providing students with opportunities to interact with experts and gain industry-relevant insights.
Among the featured speakers were UV alumni Gregorio P. Pajaron Jr. and Omar B. Roma, along with industry partner Jeff Allego. The speakers shared their experiences, discussed emerging industry trends, and provided guidance on professional growth and career development in the fields of technology and engineering.
Representing CPSAR Director Dr. Rosanna Gullas during the event were Deputy Director Ms. J Iway and CPSAR Specialist Jocyl Codilla, who reaffirmed the university’s commitment to strengthening student employability and industry partnerships.
The activity served as a valuable platform for students to gain practical knowledge, build professional connections, and prepare for competitive careers in the technology and engineering industries.
