Criminology students of the University of the Visayas gained practical knowledge and career insights during the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) Career Day held on April 20 at the Inday Teresing Auditorium.
Guest speaker JO2 Patrick Joshua C. Mollaneda, a UV alumnus from Batch 2017 and a law enforcement practitioner assigned at the Argao District Jail Annex Reformatory Center, shared firsthand experiences about working in the field of corrections and public safety.
During the discussion, Mollaneda emphasized the importance of discipline, commitment, professionalism, and preparedness among future law enforcement personnel while also discussing the realities and opportunities within the profession.
The activity was facilitated by the Career Placement Services and Alumni Relations (CPSAR) Office in partnership with CCJE. Representing CPSAR Director Dr. Rosanna Gullas were Deputy Director Ms. J Iway and CPSAR Specialist Ms. Jocyl Codilla.
Students actively participated throughout the session by engaging with the speaker and raising questions during the open forum, making the event informative and interactive.
