School President Highlights UV’s Achievements in State of the University Address

During the 2025 Quality Awards, UV President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr. delivered his State of the University Address, spotlighting the institution’s major accomplishments—including ISO status retention, board exam success, new degree offerings in AI and Cybersecurity, and efforts to ensure graduates receive their TORs alongside diplomas on graduation day.
University of the Visayas (UV) President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr. delivered his State of the University Address during the 2025 Quality Awards held at the Inday Terising Auditorium on June 25.
In his address, Dr. Iñigo outlined UV’s accomplishments for the academic year 2024–2025, including the successful retention of its ISO 9001:2015 certification, the university’s board exam passers, and the launch of new programs—BS in Artificial Intelligence and BS in Cybersecurity.
He also acknowledged the accreditations and recognitions awarded by external bodies and emphasized the university’s ongoing enhancements in teaching and learning to ensure graduates are job-ready. Dr. Iñigo further announced that starting this year, graduates will receive their Transcript of Records (TOR) along with their diplomas during commencement.
