UV Joins Global Alliance for Higher Vocational Education in China

The University of the Visayas (UV) proudly represented the Philippines at the Roundtable Conversation for College Leaders during the launch of the Alliance of Guangzhou International Sister-City Higher Vocational Education on June 20, 2025. UV was the sole Philippine higher education institution among the 50+ universities from around the world that participated in the event.
As a new signatory to the Alliance’s Common Declaration, UV reinforces its commitment to international collaboration in technical education. To mark this milestone, UV also formalized a partnership with Guangzhou City Polytechnic through a Memorandum of Agreement, paving the way for a two-week intensive workshop on Cybersecurity and Applied Artificial Intelligence for faculty members of the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture.
This development strengthens UV’s international linkages and supports its goal of equipping educators with advanced global competencies.
