The University of the Visayas (UV), through its Center for Research and Innovation (CRI), successfully conducted a week-long Research Capability Building (RCB) Week, reinforcing its commitment to advancing research excellence and scholarly engagement among faculty and staff.
The initiative aimed to enhance research competencies, promote collaboration, and increase scholarly productivity across the university. The successful implementation of RCB Week was made possible through the support of the UV Executive Board and the collaborative efforts of CRI personnel, research specialists, and invited facilitators.
Activities were held across multiple UV campuses, including Pardo, Toledo, and UV–Main, ensuring broad participation and institutional impact. A dedicated session was also organized for the College of Maritime Education to address discipline-specific research needs.
As a tangible outcome of the program, participants were able to develop 34 research proposals, which are set to be presented during the University’s 2nd International Research Conference—a milestone that underscores UV’s sustained drive toward building a strong, inclusive, and sustainable research culture.
Padayon, Visayanians!
