UV Students Bound for Japan and Vietnam for Internship Program

The University of the Visayas (UV), through its International Affairs Department (IAD), is sending fifteen students from the College of Business Administration to Vietnam and Japan for a three-month internship program. Nine students will have their On-the-Job Training in Vietnam, while the remaining six will undergo their internship at a hotel in Japan.

Excitement fills the air as fifteen students from the University of the Visayas College of Business Administration prepare for their upcoming three-month internship abroad. Nine will head to Vietnam, while six will travel to Japan, marking another milestone in the university’s international learning initiatives.

Prior to their departure, the IAD conducted an orientation led by Director Rogie Nichole Aquino to help the students prepare for their overseas experience. Aquino shared insights about the culture and customs of their host countries, offering valuable guidance for adapting to new environments and maximizing their learning opportunities.

The interns also made courtesy visits to UV Assistant Vice President for Finance and Administration Jose Miguel Gullas and UV Executive Board Treasurer Dr. Leopold Gullas Lucero. Both officials extended their best wishes to the students, emphasizing the significance of this opportunity to represent UV globally.

Additionally, the group visited UV Vice President for Finance and QMS Dr. Rosemarie Cruz-Español, who reminded them to uphold the university’s core values and commitment to excellence throughout their international journey.
