UV signs MOU with Taiwan universities

The University of the Visayas has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Taiwan universities during the Philippines-Taiwan 2024 INTENSE Program Education Exhibition.

The INTENSE program aimed to provide scholarship programs for Filipino students who are interested to study in Taiwan.

University President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo, Jr. spoke during the event as he led other Cebu schools in welcoming Taiwan government officials and school dignitaries in Cebu and the Philippines.

Taiwan Ministry of Education Deputy Director General Gin-Wei Ker led the delegation from Taiwan along with presidents and officials from various Taiwanese schools.

Along with Dr. Iñigo were Vice President for Finance and Quality Management Systems Dr. Rosemarie C. Español, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Louc C. Cabuenas, college deans, and students.

Schools from Cebu and other parts of the country have participated the educational exhibition.

Over 10 higher education institutions from Taiwan have participated the event which included Cheng Shiu University, National Chung Hsing University, National Chung Cheng University, Mingshin University of Science and Technology, Kun Shan University, Cheng Shiu University, Yushan Mandarin & Intact Base Taiwan-Philippines Cebu Office, Chaoyang University of Technology, Providence University, Taiwan Steel University of Science and Technology, and I-Shou University.
