Outstanding performances in national licensure examinations continue to highlight the dedication of aspiring educators and the commitment of academic institutions in producing competent teaching professionals across the country.
The University of the Visayas once again celebrated academic excellence as three Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science graduates and one Bachelor of Elementary Education graduate from its Dalaguete Campus secured top rankings in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers.
Leading the Visayanian achievers was Ramil Gabrino Gaurano Jr., who placed Top 3 nationwide. He was followed by Fella Tehanee Mainit Sejas at Top 5 and Micah Jirah Osa Mendoza at Top 7. Meanwhile, Meralona Bengcolita Camilo from UV Dalaguete ranked 5th nationwide in the Elementary Level Examination.
The University of the Visayas also highlighted the inspiring journey of Micah Jirah O. Mendoza, who secured 7th place in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers. Mendoza attributed her success to what she calls the “3Ps” formula — Pray, Persevere, and Pause — which became her guiding principle throughout her board exam preparation.
“I applied the 3Ps formula during my board exam review — Pray, Persevere, and Pause. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance. Persevere to achieve greater things. Pause when needed, because the mind and body function better when you get enough rest,” Mendoza shared.
Mendoza emphasized the importance of maintaining both mental and physical well-being during the review period, revealing that she made sure to get at least 10 to 12 hours of sleep to help improve concentration and productivity while preparing for the examination.
Their remarkable achievement reflects the university’s commitment to quality education and the dedication of its future educators.
UV also commended the entire College of Education department for its unwavering commitment to academic excellence and for continuously producing inspiring educators who contribute meaningfully to the teaching profession.
The success of the LET topnotchers further strengthens the university’s reputation as an institution that nurtures highly capable and globally competitive professionals in the field of education.
Padayon, Visayanians!
