UV Lancers crowned Champions in Caraga, Davao Oriental Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament

The CM Farm-backed University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers relied on a stong endgame show to fend off the equally tough Enderun College Titans, 96-90, in their nerve-wracking final match to grab the championship crown of the 1st Mayor Ronie S. Osnan Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament over the weekend in Caraga, Davao Oriental.
The Gary Cortes-mentored Lancers wasted away a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, allowing the Titans to even wrest the upper hand late in the down-the-wire battle.
But Raul Gentallan, Kent Ivo Salarada, and Ivan Clark Alsola drained six straight crucial free throws in the dying seconds of the contest to seal UV's thrilling win.
